Whole-House Renovations - Bergen County, NJ
Modernizing Floor Plans and Rebuilding Interiors with Uncompromising Craftsmanship.
The bones are good. The layout, the systems, and the finishes are not.
Many Bergen County homes were built with layouts that no longer reflect how families live. Closed-off rooms, outdated mechanical systems, and compartmentalized floor plans that made sense in 1975 do not work in 2025. A whole-house renovation does not paper over these problems - it solves them structurally. In Bergen County, major interior reconfigurations often trigger zoning review when they affect square footage calculations or building height. ADPB Group Bergen Remodeling manages all variance applications and municipal compliance filings as part of every whole-house renovation engagement.
One team managing every trade - no coordination failures between separate contractors.
Structural changes executed properly - load-bearing walls removed with engineered solutions, not workarounds.
A finished home that looks and functions as though it was built this way from the start.
This page covers complete gut renovations and structural transformations only. For kitchen or bathroom updates, please call us to discuss scope before reaching out.
Scope of Work
ADPB Group Bergen Remodeling takes on whole-house renovation projects that require genuine structural expertise. If the project involves load-bearing changes, full mechanical replacement, or reconfiguring the layout of an entire floor, we are the right firm for it.
Stripping the home to its structural shell and rebuilding from the inside out. New mechanical systems, new framing where needed, new insulation, and entirely new finishes throughout every level.
Reconfiguring the interior plan of your home. Removing walls, relocating stairways, opening floor plans, and creating the spatial flow that existing layouts prevent. All structural changes engineered and permitted.
Complete replacement of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Bringing older Bergen County homes into compliance with current code and modern performance standards, managed entirely in-house.
Older Bergen County homes that require updating systems and layouts while preserving architectural character. We balance what the home was built to be with what you need it to become.
Purchasing a distressed property and transforming it into a premium home. ADPB Group Bergen Remodeling assesses the structural condition, develops a full renovation scope, and delivers the finished result.
Every trade coordinated by our team under a single contract. No managing separate plumbers, electricians, and framers. No finger-pointing between contractors. One point of contact for the entire project.
Completed Renovations
Before and in-progress images are included for each project to show the structural scale of the work involved - not just the finished result.
A complete gut renovation of a 1960s Colonial in Teaneck. The interior was stripped to the structural shell, the floor plan was reconfigured to an open layout on the ground floor, all mechanical systems were replaced, and new finishes were installed throughout four levels including a finished basement. All permits managed through the Teaneck Building Department.
"We bought the house knowing it needed everything. ADPB Group Bergen Remodeling was the only contractor who came in, assessed it honestly, and gave us a realistic plan. We now have the house we always wanted in the neighborhood we chose."
J. and C. Brennan - Teaneck, NJ
A master suite bathroom addition built as a private spa retreat. A dramatic floral feature wall carries from the vanity into a frameless glass shower framed by a black sliding glass door. Tunable accent lighting was wired throughout, so the room shifts from bright and functional in the morning to a warm, romantic glow at night. All waterproofing, plumbing, and ventilation were brought to current New Jersey code.
"The new master bathroom completely changed how our bedroom suite feels. ADPB Group built the glass shower around a bold feature wall and wired in lighting we can dial from bright to a soft, romantic glow at night. It feels like a private spa off our bedroom."

Our Process
A whole-house renovation involves more moving parts than any other project type. The only way to manage it without chaos is to keep every trade under a single team's control from the start.
We assess the existing structure, identify what can be changed, and develop a scope that achieves your vision within structural reality. For projects where a home addition or custom build may be more appropriate, we advise on that directly.
Full architectural and structural drawings developed internally. You review and approve before any permit is filed.
All permit applications, structural review submissions, and municipal approvals managed by our team.
Demo, structural, mechanical, and finish work coordinated internally. Regular updates and milestone billing throughout.
We walk every room together. We do not call it done until you confirm it meets the agreed standard.
